Once we discovered this spicy combo, we rarely go back to the original butter and salt. It’s pretty easy and packs a powerful punch.
We use a Stir Crazy to make our popcorn. It’s the popper of choice in my husband’s family, and I love it too. It makes a big batch and the kids love to watch it pop!
Sriracha Lime Popcorn
2 Tablespoons coconut oil (or your popcorn oil of choice)
1 cup popcorn kernels (I usually don’t measure but cover the bottom of the popper)
4 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons Sriracha
1 lime, zested
salt to taste
- Pop your popcorn as you normally would.
- While it pops, melt the butter and stir in Sriracha and lime zest.
- Pour butter mixture over popcorn and toss or stir to coat.
- Top with salt.
